[For Sale] 2008 Defender 110 2.4 TDCi USW XS.

Me again

After finally making a decisive decision to sell the Defender. Here goes..

.HPI Clear
.February 2008 ‘57’ registration.
.Zermatt Silver - Code 798
.Non-Sunroof.
.No chequered Plate.
.118,500 miles
.Just 1 previous owner
.Full original booklets. 2 keys and all service booklets and guides.
.M1 DVLA class
.Utility Station Wagon from factory with original purchase documentation.
.XS Spec (A/C, heated windscreen, central locking, half leathers and leather steering wheel, full carpets, electric windows)
.Full documented service history.

Engine: 118,500 miles
Completely standard engine. EGR valve still in place and working as should be. New water pump, auxiliary idlers, tensioners and genuine aux belt. New battery, starter motor and recent injector seals and clamps done including the full rocker covers seals. Complete rocker seal kit bought from Empire tuning. Recent Fuel filter, oil and filter and also air filter. It had a new sump pan and gasket by the previous owner. So all gaskets have been replaced - so there are no oil leaks on this, which is definitely rare for a Puma.
Exhaust is original and getting scabby. It has been on my list to change, but there’s so much choice out there that I haven’t got around to buying one.
19.08.24 - New Genuine LR intercooler and genuine boost pipes, a/c regas and fresh coolant change.

Suspension and steering
Standard shocks and springs with slight corrosion on the springs. This is just the paint is starting to flake off the coil springs. Twisted do have a complete set of delivery miles genuine springs for a 110 USW for £145 for the set. I can buy those to go with the vehicle if need be. New genuine steering damper, drop arm and track rod bar with all new drop links. Swivels are greased and not pitting.

Driveline:
Rear genuine HD LR single piece drive shaft upgrade. These were bought from Twisted off a vehicle they were rebuilding for a conversion. New genuine front prop. Both front & rear props recently re-greased.
LOF single piece output shaft & LOF Roadspec clutch kit with 2.2 TDCi upgraded slave cylinder. New clutch switch, oil etc. The clutch and output shaft was only fitted last month at a cost of just under £2,000 at Promec LR Specialist. and is still under warranty for 11 months as it was fitted at a LOF approved LR specialist. The driveline is unbelievably tight with the rear shafts and output shaft upgrade.
Low range gears work and select perfect and dash light illuminates. I make sure I use it just to stop any selectors going stiff. I’ve never taken the vehicle off road.

Chassis:
Original fantastic condition chassis with numbers all present. This chassis is not waxoiled or anything.
VIN numbers all match on the chassis, windscreen plaque and log book. No welding or anything of a kind. It’s had ACF-50 sprayed a couple of times a year and I feel that’s been enough to look after the chassis for what the vehicle gets used for (some school runs and weekend spin for coffee)

Interior:
All standard and original XS Spec half leather interior. Full carpets and genuine rubber mats throughout.
Only change I have made inside is adding a genuine LR Cargo/Dog divider.

19.08.24 - Genuine wiper motor, spindles and relay. (Another big expense job done)

Exterior:
All standard fittings inc the XS sidesteps. Only modification is the KBX front grill, wing vents and clear light lenses front, side indicators and rear lights. Standard fitment Continental Crosscontact 235/85-16 tyres. Heavy duty tow bar and electrics, all working as expected - trailer light flashes on the dashboard when plugged in.
Bodywork does have some marks, small scratches and dents reflected in its age - but nothing had been hidden. It’s a true, genuine vehicle.

As you can see, this has been absolutely pampered by myself and the 1 previous owner. It’s had an easy life and the condition reflects that. All the expensive jobs have been done and the ‘prone’ failure point of a Puma output shaft will never be a worry for the next owner, with the LOF single piece expensive upgrade already taken care of professionally. This Defender is ready for the next owner to take it on a reliable overland adventure or carry on living a pampered life.

Only reason for sale is an expanding family and wanting 7 seats.

I think this is very reasonably priced given the maintenance and condition.

£19,995 ono. NO VAT.

Might be a tip to change the KBX front end to something else and change the wheels to black sawtooth, might make it more sellable to the general market, make it stand out a bit from the other normal ones.

I am considering putting the original grill back on and standard wing vents. Take it back to completely OEM. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

I will take a picture of the boot area over the weekend.

It’s fully carpeted, with a genuine rubber mat. And then the genuine full cargo barrier/dog divide. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

Just had this back from my Specialist. Wipers started playing up, so I’ve had a new genuine LR wiper motor, cable and spindles fitted at quite a cost

but they are now better than ever!

While it was at the garage I’ve had a new genuine intercooler and boost pipes fitted , as the standard ones were looking a bit brittle. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.
