Collision Avoidance system, not always a bad thing.
Today l was turning on to someone's parking space and failed to see a low wall to my left.

Suddenly there was a "thump" and the Defender came to a stop. l thought l had hit something, so l reversed, and then l saw the wall.

What had happened was, the emergency braking had stopped me from taking out the near side of my Land Rover.

The only damage was, when l reversed l touched the wooden post at the end of the wall and dislodged the lower front corner of the bumper.

l refitted it, but it's marked so l've ordered a new one. £100, could have been a lot worse.
