Scotland 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Corris Grey
Hilux tyre recommendations
Hi guys, I have a 2015 toyota hilux and it's needing a new set of tyres. I don't do much miles in it and around 95% percent of the miles I do is on tarmac, I do sometimes tow my ifor williams tipper trailer with it and sometimes need to tow it in and off grass perhaps a couple times per year. Tyre size is 265 65 17R

Any advice welcome.

There is no shortage of choice tbh. And in reality pretty much any tyres of the right type are perfectly fine for 99% people 99% of the time. It is only when you push towards the limits that different tyres tend to perform or worse.

I run Maxxis Wormdrives on my Jimny and Ninety. Have been super impressed. Brilliant on road in all conditions and way better in the mud than I’d have expected.

But as said, there is a lot of choice. There are other AT’s, some more road biased. There are All a season or Winter tyres that could be suitable and of course Mud Terrains too.

Hi guys ended up going for bridgestone dueler H/T I've had these on a previous hilux twice and have performed well with the rear tyres lasting 30k towing 3t + every other day. Managed to buy these as "take-off" for £330 posted for the 4. This hilux is retired to more or less a second/ get out of trouble work/play vehicle so should do me for the foreseeable. Thanks
