Venture Automotive Reviews
Has anyone used Venture Automotive before? They can remotely do a Driver Assistance / D250 - D350 Remap, and I'm looking for assurance

D250 to D350?

How much do they charge for that. l know it's the same engine, so it should be okay.

Yes l ordered a D200 and then was told it had been discontinued and l had to have a D250....an extra £3,000
Easy money for LR. You can see why they did it. Even the salesman admitted it cost them "nothing" extra over the D200 to make.

Take it or leave it l was told. We've got dozens of people who will take your order.

I don't want to be the first to take the D300 or D350 upgrade though, after a disastrous £400 "Alive" remap on my Defender TD5 that cost me a further £125 for LR to reset the ECM back to standard settings.

At this point you tell the salesman to F off, and find another dealership.

They were all the same back in 2022. The Commercial version had an 18 month lead time and had l cancelled my order l wouldn't have been able to get it any cheaper anywhere else.

Plus l would have gone to the back of the queue and had to wait a further 12 months.....which l couldn't do because l had to register the vehicle by March 2022 to qualify for the govt "Super Deduction" tax reduction.

Breathe in....and that meant l was able to claim 130% of the cost of the Defender against my profits.

You should have offered the salesman £50 for his 9yr old Seat Ibiza

That wasn't all.

l signed the order at £47,000 and later agreed to pay the extra £3,000 for the D250

A couple months later the price of the vehicle went up to £54,500. Take it or leave it l was told. The fact that l had signed the order and paid a deposit meant nothing, apparently.

l also had a grenadier order in my basket, sadly not verified. l looked at sacking the Defender and going for the Grenadier.
But then lneos increased the price from £51,000 to £65,000. So that went out of the window and l stayed with the Defender

My best mate has a £80k Grenadier which he got in March, and has had use of it for a month whilst they try, and try again, to fix the safari sunroof from leaking #shower

You should share your experience with Land Rovers’ socials; they adore bad press.

I’d have pulled the plug and bought a G Wagon
