300tdi CSW Tyre Pressures
I have finally swapped my Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx in 235/85 r16 with some Falken Wildpeak AT3WA in the same size.

The vehicle has uprated suspension as the original died and it used to carry quite a lot of kit.

It now carries a winch and winch bumper on the front and a Cargobear roof rack and howling moon roof tent at the back pretty much constantly.

The tyre company inflated them all to 30psi which looks a little soft to my eyes (without the rack and tent on at the moment as about to sort the alpine light seals out).

I used to run the Coopers at 36psi most of the time, it seemed to be a reasonable balance of comfort and efficiency (if such a thing exists after strapping another housebrick to the original design).

Would it be a good starting point with the new Falkens once the rack and tent are back on or can someone give me a better suggestion? 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

30 is an ok starting point. Tbh anywhere from 26-40 can work. I normally run 28psi all round. But lots of folks on forums run way higher for some reason.

You can also balance out the handling by messing about having softer front or rear depending on your tastes and driving styles. If hauling/towing you’ll want more air in the rears than the front normally, unless you are running high pressures all round.

I run 34F - 36R on a 90, but this is on 255/85/R16.

As yours is a 110. 34F & 38R might be best.

Figures in PSi.

What are the factory pressures? On my Puma 110 they are 30/48. For road use I'd start with the factory setting and maybe go up a bit for the extra weight. There's a reason why those figures were arrived at and may not be until you are in an emergency situation the reason comes to light. It's not just about ride comfort or economy, it may be to prevent a rollover in a sudden swerve, or preventing overheating on a long run etc. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

As far as I can work out there were never factory settings for a 300tdi shod with 238/85 r16's as they weren't a factory option at the time.

The closest I can get is the Haynes Workshop manual if I can remember where I put it. I also don't have a little sticker anywhere with tyre pressures listed. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

They were an option, at least for 110" models....

I run mine at 32F and 36R

Anywhere between 28 and 40 seems to be average! I am not sure if there is official guidance on what they should be?

Personally with 285/75/r16 I run 40 all round (camper conversion so not the lightest) when on the road. When green laning in the UK I normally drop them down to 35'ish and that works.

I have just come back from the Pyrenees and it was almost entirely off road - dry, bumpy tracks, lots of stones etc. I dropped them down to 28 front and 30 rear and that worked well, although it sapped a lot of power when back on the road.
