I would advise a drive,
Yes its a transit but tighter inside, arm out of window sort of tight. Clutch is a heavy beast (you can mod this I haven't) its the turning circle of the QEII (even a mod for this but even with its not normal car turning). it rattles more and is generally noisier than most normal cars, it can leak, it rusts and they are nick able Saying this its ACE. Love it I started with the Defender and now have a Series III, Series 1 and a Sankey trailer. its gets to you My truck Click image to enlarge |

Driving one before you buy is wise and try more than one of the first one doesn’t feel right. They are not like anything else on the road this side of a truck or tractor really. I’ve had mine quite a long time now and love it, but I very nearly didn’t buy one. The first one I drove was an ex-RAF 110, low miles, detailed maintenance history, but it had almost no brakes, I couldn’t fit in it, couldn’t work the clutch without my knee hitting the wheel and being a base model it didn’t even have any niceties to distract me. I was totally dejected and stopped looking for 6 months. But did loads of reading and learned the driving position can be fixed to an extent, the brakes shouldn’t be that bad and discovered there were trim levels with a few more creature comforts. I eventually found a 110 XS I liked, when I drove it it felt much better, brakes worked, driving position was still stupid, but I knew I could fix that now. So I bought it, did a few mods and have driven it thousands of happy miles since. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
