Look after two young kids.
Night MTB ride. Surf when its lighter. Do weights. Drink booze. Rarely watch TV. One day, I'll be able to go to the pub again! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

I share these 3 (no kids thank goodness...don't know where I would find the time ). By the time I finish work (I work in Northern England for 1 or 2 days each week), do to the gym 3 nigts a week, and commute between Edinburgh & Aviemore...there's no time left for pub (that's why I am posting this at 07:07 in the morning!) Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Television, especially English television is normally disappointing. What you want to do is watch DVDs, boxed sets and hence, here's a list:
The Wire - takes 3 episodes to really get going, but then you can't stop watching it. We borrowed ours from the local library for free. Best to watch it with the subtitles on, unless you are a Baltimore black, even the cast didn't understand some of the words. High body count. The Shield - fast moving detective with Vic as the good guy/bad guy star. Higher body count. Ultimate Force - Ross Kemp in the SAS. The box set includes the last 3 episodes that the TV company was to scared to show. Even higher body count. Then, there's foreign detective series that keep you on the edge of your seat. Zen (Italian, but spoken in English), Spiral (French with subtitles), The Killing (Danish with subtitles). These are even better than Wallander. This lot should keep you going to Easter. Merlin |

I've been working on a major house refurb project for the last two years, often late into the evenings. So, not much time for TV, and I can't say I miss it at all. Even when I get a 'pass' from the missus, I normally end up doing something else, like being on here!

Monday's & Thursday's volunteer at a youth group, with occasional Wednesday and 1 Tuesday a month doing the same.
Tuesday is tv night, watching all the bits I record during the week. Wednesday is paperwork night for either the business, the youth group or household. Friday - normally going away or the weekend but if not, films in the winter, out in the garage during the summer. I wouldn't know what to do with 5 free evenings a week! 2002 Defender 110 DC |

I often finish work late so its shower, dinner, Def 2 and maybe the news ,Prime time, Vincent Browne (only those with RTE will know) or something on the discovery channels that hasn't been repeated 100 times already and thats it from my middle aged plateau of mediocrity !

What light(s) do you use? I have a 1700 lumen Luminous 601 Pro (superbly made!) for great flood lighting and a lid mounted Fenix TK21 (470 lumens) for long throw light. Both work a treat! Used my ear warmer this morning. It's getting nippy! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |
