Defender 90 TD4 Legend - OLD MAN EMU
Dear Community,

I’m a new happy Defender owner for a couple of months, taking care of a Defender 90 Legend (Swiss Edition) td4 from 2015. Among some modifications that I am currently undertaking thanks to the rich amount of information I found on your forum, I am seeking a replacement for my suspension system.

First, I can confirm that for my Defender variant, I have four different springs (and two different shock types) which leads (and this is apparently normal) to it sitting slightly higher on the driver side (I have OEM anti-roll bars installed). After researching different manufacturers, my heart is leaning toward OLD MAN EMU.

My primary requirement is to maintain the original heavy-duty (SALLDWBP8FA…..) characteristics while ensuring that the vehicle's ride height remains unchanged. From my research and understanding, most suspension kits seem to lift the vehicle to compensate for the anticipated additional weight. I have shortlisted the following OLD MAN EMU components for consideration:

Shocks: 63037 / 60038
Coils/Springs:2751 / 2764

However, I am concerned that this setup might alter the height of my Defender 90.

Could you please advise if there is a variant of the proposed OLD MAN EMU that would retain the original height?

Alternatively, if you could suggest a suitable combination of components that would meet my requirements, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,
Christophe

My understanding is that all the OmE options lift the vehicle.

It would be prudent to gwyn Lewis and email and seek his advice. Cheers

OME springs will give a lift of 25mm minimum. Which is what I have and like the look of, and makes the vehicle sit correctly and level.
