Battery light on cluster is controlled over CAN from the ECU.

The ECU monitors the alternator charging status.

Cheers Martin. Is there any way of checking those connections or anything that could be causing them to act up? WARNING.

No, that doesn’t happen. If the battery light stays too long then the revs are raised from 800 to 900.

I have seen the temp go up with light on but that’s when you try to start without disabling one of my security devices. WARNING.

Another strange one today, my low fuel light illuminated and stayed on for a couple of seconds when started. No other symptoms and it seemed to drive fine. It now comes on and goes out with the other lights but now I can’t remember if that’s normal.

On the plus side I inadvertently located a rattle that had been annoying me for weeks. The lid of the ecu cover had come loose. Not so long ago I had the bloomin’ dash apart trying to find that one! WARNING.

Yeah, I know what you mean with that. So long as it isn't constantly on when you got over 1/4 a tank of fuel it’s no problem at all. I think it cuts in with a fixed or close estimate amount of fuel left.
In normal circumstances it extinguishes (the illuminated fuel war in light) along with the rest after a couple of seconds.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Blackwolf doesn’t know off by heart the exact details of that. Very Happy
I think there is supposed to be an audible noise that comes with it also, but frankly I’d not want to try it out.
It’s another issue with the brake warning light, a slightly lower than expected brake fluid level can trigger that warning light on an steepish incline, but there actually isn’t any issue other than a very small brake fluid top up required.
Once driven on flat Terrafirma the light can go straight out. Rolling with laughter

To those that might not know, that can instantly set off panic “oh no! Brakes issue, what am I going to do so many miles from home” etc.
They might call recovery, no issue other than a tiny bit of fluid top up.

Phantom fault like some of those fake DTC’s triggered, then logged by another DTC being pinged from a totally a different part. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
