How do I rev my 2.2 TdCi from u under the hood ?
I am trying to trace a noise that only appears over 2,000 RPM, sounds like fan belt or ancillaries, but the throttle looks like fly by wire ? There doesn't seem to be a throttle cable. Is it possible to rev the engine while I check for the noise, without asking someone to sit in the cab ? Puma 90 XS Station Wagon in Keswick Green 2012 2.2 Tdci

Not possible, the throttle is electronic. You'll need an assistant (or a brick).

im just sorting some bits out to allow me to put the accelerator pedal on a wandering lead.. as I said in a recent post somewhere else .. BW did point out you cant get power take off type control, ie fixed revs using this but all im looking to do is mimic using the accelerator while under the bonnet

Peeing down today and I remembered the acc pedal connectors I had ordered came a while back so I've lashed up my version of a remote acc pedal for when I'm mucking around the engine and need a few revs๐Ÿ‘

Well I tried it today.. Definitely works for the occasional time you need a few revs... Filling the cooling system, and playing with the scope come to mind.. Loads more I'm sure๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘

Thumbs Up
Doesn't it feel scary to press the pedal when the car is facing you? Shocked Laughing

On a long journey you could put in the passenger footwell and let them control the throttle....perhaps for that extra thrill put it in the back with the children Shocked

Ps looks like you have the Allisport airbox, and a catch can fitted.

Well it's work in progress.. I can now ditch the long handled mop and keep two hands on the steering rope๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฃ..
The picture was courtesy of a lad on another forum.. (cheeky sod.) ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคฃ

The alisport air intake is fitted Ian.. But that's work in progress as well when I find the time..
No catch can, but I did replace the vacuum hoses to the brake and clutch servos๐Ÿ‘
