Should be 5w30 A1/B1 spec or better
10/40 a bit heavy for winter? Minimum A1/B1 spec is the critical thing to check. I use Unipart 5w30 A5/B5 fully synthetic (make by Fuchs) - just bought some today £54.63 inc vat for 20ltrs Steve Defender 90 TD5 Station Wagon Discovery 3 HSE BMW 330i Coupe |

The Costco in Reading do Chevron 5w30 oil that's what I have been using in my TD5. He who dies with the most toys wins.

With my corporate/warranty hat on I would say stick to the castrol oil that ford have loosely designed their engines to use. But as long as you use the right grade you should be find.
Now I am affiliated with both makers and would do what ever is needed to keep my warranty Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |
