Steady blue light, I am not sure and I do not have time to trawl through different amendments of vehicle lighting regulations.

Totally illegal.

Definitely! Anything which either is or "resembles" a blue light, whether illuminated or not, is illegal.

Blue light of the flashing variety is definitely illegal on any vehicle except an emergency vehicle.

I had an incident once when saw twin flashing lights coming towards me. So took normal cautionary reaction, slowed down and pulled over as far as possible to the left to give oncoming 'emergency' vehicle as much space as possible. 'Emergency' vehicle was prat with blue leds on windscreen washers. Flashing was caused by long curve with lots of trees causing the 'flashing' Driver was a complete prat

So put blue lights on your vehicle then you might just get pulled by the boys in blue!

i accept the fact that a tiny blue led on my bike is most certainly illegal, but from my safety point of view i will take my chances. Anything to catch the attention of other road users when you are on a bike is a good thing imo Thumbs Up 2005 TD5 90 Hard Top
