FYI - Kinda on topic, those with older 'all grey' EMOVIS Tags from mid 2022 - there's a recall/replacement scheme as the batteries are starting to fail.

12 business days and waiting...

How do they actually work? Are there cameras recognising windscreen stickers/plates, or do you just get dinged by police if they catch you without one?

The site says I can use the application certificate to prove I have applied, but who/how do I 'use' it?

Hahaha, how does it work?

In France they make rules that are lofty and acedamic.
Then they quickly loose interest during execution
And the enforcement is an afterthought.

There are no number plate readers, no automation.
There is not even a sign on the side of the road to tell you you are entering a low emission zone. You are suppose to just know that.
The planned dates for stricter enforcement always change but are not updated on the official websites. Complete chaos if you ask me. You need to become an expert to work it all out and the French they are not like that.

Walk through Paris and many cars have no sticker or the sticker is faded. And you can park any car in the street because you can drive in with any car between 8pm and 8am, so the police can only stop cars that are actually driving when they should not.

Vive le France!

So if my sticker doesn't arrive in time, it sounds like i'd just need to print this interim confirmation certificate in case the police stop me and ask me about the CRIT stickers. Right?
