2.25 petrol MOT fail on emissions
My 1984 2.25 petrol 90 sailed through what will hopefully be its last MOT yesterday but missed on emissions so need to take it back for a retest.

Any obvious suggestions? Apparently it wasn’t too far off; CO was the culprit

I’ve put a bottle of Redex petrol emissions improver in the tank and was going to take it on a long-ish run before the retest to make sure that it’s fully up to temperature etc.

Any other obvious things to check? Cheers, David

Any value putting a new air filter in as well? Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Thanks - interesting suggestion - it was pretty gross so have ordered another one!

Air filter off, nicely up to temperature after a long run and system cleaner run through; it does seem to be running a bit nicer so we will see what that yields tomorrow! Cheers, David
