I have one headlight (driver's side) that's dimmer than the other.
I changed the bulbs and switched the headlights over & the driver's side headlamp is still dimmer. I'm presuming I'm going to need to replace the cable and connector that side. Anyone else had this issue? - thanks |

A quick check with avoltmeter on both sides should be illuminating!
Does sound like voltage drop so check earths and connections. Next would be an upgraded wiring loom or approved LED headlights. LED will normally work if the minimum voltage is applied typically around 9 volts. Brendan |

Thanks for the advice.
I found I could pop open the connector and one of the connections had corroded and wasn't making a good connection. That headlight is now a proper bright white, rather than orange, just waiting for it to get dark to try it out properly. |

Had this exact issue, on passenger side, and found bad connection on the H4 bulb connection.
What was strange is that with dim beam, the main beam indicator was illuminating dimly on the dash. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |
