Dim headlight drivers side only
I have one headlight (driver's side) that's dimmer than the other.

I changed the bulbs and switched the headlights over & the driver's side headlamp is still dimmer.

I'm presuming I'm going to need to replace the cable and connector that side.

Anyone else had this issue?

- thanks

I would check the ground and the connector plug itself. Puma 110" SW

A quick check with avoltmeter on both sides should be illuminating!

Does sound like voltage drop so check earths and connections. Next would be an upgraded wiring loom or approved LED headlights.

LED will normally work if the minimum voltage is applied typically around 9 volts.

Thanks for the advice. Thumbs Up

I found I could pop open the connector and one of the connections had corroded and wasn't making a good connection.

That headlight is now a proper bright white, rather than orange, just waiting for it to get dark to try it out properly. Smile

Had this exact issue, on passenger side, and found bad connection on the H4 bulb connection.
What was strange is that with dim beam, the main beam indicator was illuminating dimly on the dash. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
