GB Land rover show next weekend - anyone going?
Hey all, as title, anyone going?

https://www.gblandrovershow.co.uk/ - Bath and West..

I'm having a gander at the moment to see if there is anything that grabs my attention, I don't actually know what it's about yet (I'm guessing something to do with LR's!) Laughing

... Might also serve as a heads up to anyone not going to avoid the area - bound to be breakdown blockages and oil slicks in the road Rolling with laughter The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html

I did think about going but not really sure it's worth it but it is also a local ISH show 110 Td5 Ex Utilities slowly converting into a pop top camper one day

These things aren't me, having said that I'm probably going. I need some accessories for Noddy and my daughter's D3 and a few of the suppliers will be there.

Besides. there's bound to be something I need but don't know it yet! Laughing Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

It's local-ish to me too and I sort of figured it might be a way to go and have a look around, I guess there are independent sellers there too selling bits and pieces? Plus bound to be some Defenders in the carpark that could be nice to see - also if there are any of you lot going, could be a chance to say hi... Hi all

I've just been on the GB Land Rover Show website and it would appear that clubs get free access for vehicles and 1 driver plus discounted tickets for passengers and camping.

@Martin - Do we qualify as "A club"?

I went last year which was it's first year. Not withstanding that, it was rubbish. Very small, no real bargains and we were in and out in under 2 hours.

Obviously new things have to start from small beginnings, but it would have to be significantly better this year to get anywhere close to warranting the ticket price and travelling.

Hmmm @Bishbosh.. I was a little sus about prices of products sold there. I've been there to the flea markets and met people selling that I'd come across at auctions in the past and their prices were somewhat inflated, I guess to cover pitch costs and time etc.. so I was thinking this LR thing might be the same.

Might go to the record attempt at Market Harborough instead Laughing The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html

Knew this would be rubbish the minute you see "GB" at the start. Lots of poor quality brands using those letters to try to increase their cachet; just look at Bake Off, or the worst one of all, GB (fake) News.

It's a shame there aren't any good shows any more. The depressed economy is causing a lot of it in terms of ticket price affordability, which in turn impacts quality of stands and vendors, as well as the discounts those vendors can give.

Might be a little too soon to make comments like that based on the 2024 effort... The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html

Are you taking the Landy?

I'm still weighing it up Laughing

Do big companies tend to do discounts at these events? or is it normally just a show and tell sort of thing? The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html

Yes i'm taking Millie, always do Very Happy

They use to give discounts, more on the Sunday as they didn't want to take to much back with them. I'm not sure these days what if any discount you would get Rolling Eyes

If your happy driving that's all good, but i do have a passenger seat empty if that would help you ? 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

I'm going with daughter and taking Noddy. Not sure if they'll be much for the new Defender, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Besides it's dead cheap and might be OK. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.
