MPG difference Michelin Latitude/Goodyear Wrangler tyres?
My Defender came with the Michelin Latitude Tour tyres, which are fine on road but not the best off road.

l changed them recently for the Goodyear Wrangler Adventure tyres. lt seems to be doing less MPG with these tyres although it's early days yet.

Would l notice a difference with these tyres, has anyone else fitted them (in replacement for a road tyre) and did your MPG drop at all?

I have Them on my car but in 20inch. I reckon I've lost about 12-15% in fuel economy vs the attitudes. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

You will see a difference, and then again with Duratracs. I’m getting just under 33 over 15,000 miles on Duratracs.

l recently did a journey driving as carefully as l could and achieved 37mpg

l've just tried the same journey this afternoon with the Wranglers on and managed almost the same MPG. l'll keep monitoring it.

Top photo is with the Michelin, bottom one with the Goodyear tyres.
l got held at temporary traffic lights on the first journey so that probably lost me a few tenths on the average

The Goodyears won’t make much difference, they’re not a very aggressive AT pattern at all and more akin to a road tyre really.

They have for me. At least 12%. Not worried because I never think about fuel economy, after all it’s a heavy wagon with the aerodynamics of a brick coupled to a 4x4 drive train. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.
