2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HCPU Cairns Blue

Defender 2.4 running HVO

Our local garage now has HVO, claims are that it runs 90% cleaner than diesel and not as gummy as the usual Bio Fuel.
So I though what the hell I'll give it a go. Just finished 1st tank of it and surprised but time will tell.

Throttle response is a little delayed but not really noticeable, doesn't seam to be down on power but not towed anything yet.
Engine runs a tad quieter
And the one big for me - the stinky blue smoke on cold start has gone ( the dogs in the back are also happier with this )

About 10% more expensive than diesel.

Advice is to change fuel filter after 1st tank as it lifts any dirt etc out of the tank.

Anyone else run it yet ??

2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Montalcino Red

I've not used it in my Land Rover yet but as a business we've been running our telehandlers and generators on it for the last couple of years and I've not heard any tales of woo from the operators thus far.

I suspect the current price difference is going to be the stumbling block for it becoming more mainstream 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
