Hello everyone this is another post from Hutchinson 4x4 so all the usual facilities such as warranty etc are available with this one, if sold to a forum member I will donate to Martin for the sale.
this absolute beauty of a 90 200tdi originally a 19j 2.5 turbo but retrofitted with a 65k defender 200tdi engine with all the correct piping, genuine 95k miles on clock. all the sills, chassis doors bullkhead are all mint! got to be seen to be believed! new terrafirma suspension, fresh MOT and service and the axles have been rebuilt with new parts. even the seats are lovely! The rear crossmember has been replaced and is nice and new. This YouTube link below shows a tour of the interior, engine bay, chassis and a cold start. Sorry about the wet weather! VINS match the log book so all good there. the only niggle I can find is some minor dents and some minor corrosion on the panels which is normal for its age, and a MOT has been recorded wrong but it stands out a mile so its fairly obvious its a mistake. I can provide and fit brand new front bumper a new spare wheel carrier and a similar steel spare wheel and tyre if needed. I can also supply a brand new pair of bench seats for the back if required. A full HPI report is available which shows it's clear of accidents, finance and hasn't been stolen etc. Starts on first flick when cold and runs a beauty, my mechanic actually commented hes rather interested in it as he loves how it drives. Ready to work or play! £8500 price is firm as its worth every penny of it. I had to pay good money for it in the first place! Viewings, Inspections and test drives more than welcome at my home address where I trade from. Indeed and looking to be sold already! Viewing booked for Saturday via Facebook and seems super keen!

no smoke at all on this one so your dads prob had the pump tweaked.

Most Tdis do tend to give off a puff of black smoke on starting.
