I just like to say thanks to Andrew for his detailed pictorial fitting guide.

Fitted the snorkel today and it was a piece of cake with those instructions.

I reckon you could sell them to Mantec as an example of what should be provided 110 2.4TDCi

Hey all, been fitting my mantec snorkel and discovered a few problems. Wanted to only fit it as per instructions and without lots of sealer in case it needs taking off again but looks like i have to. I have contacted the company i bought it off but they are saying to send it back and they will forward to mantec, i have to pay the postage for this but mantec are 10 miles from me! Lucky i checked the sealing before imersing it in water. I threw a bucket of water over it and could even see light when shining a torch behind it.
Will post some pics.

Why didnt you deal with Mantec direct? I do and you will find they are often quite a bit cheaper.

I had a few issues with a wheel carrier and they sorted it, quickly and with no fuss.

I would tell your supplier that you are so close to them and run the vehicle over so Mantec can take a look.

Right guys, fitted the snorkel today, will deal with the external sealing issues later by making a new main seal, but here are a few pics extra to the instructions by AndrewS as mine is a TD5 and might be a bit different. Sorry for the poor picture quality.

This is where i sealed the inner air duct to the inside of the wing

The inside of the "A" pillar, might be a good idea to remove the trim and move the harness out of the way in case of damage by the drill bit or bolts.

Hope this helps. Sometimes you have to get lost to find yourself
