Auction Sales!
Anybody bought from Auction? A few Dealer TDCi's - commercial trade ins! Obviously not nice enough to put on the forecourt, wonder if you could put an offer in direct to the dealer! Could be a cheap way to get one Whistle

http://www.brightwells.com/Vehicles/4x4/Catalogue.aspx Shame they don't put a guide price Sad

England 2002 Defender 110 Td5 SW Coniston Green
My current TD5 came from there. They do give you a past results page with an indication of book price for each motor sold, you will see a figure quoting so many % of CAP which in simple terms is the expected value. They also do a buy it now on ones that didn't sell on a Tuesday and runs to Friday night or Saturday morning and these are often open to offers.
Don't forget that the hammer price is generally lower than the price you pay, there is auctioneers %, sometimes an extra levy and sometimes VAT. Just go in with your eyes wide open, with a set budget and stick to it and there are still bargains to be had.

England 2004 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Zermatt Silver
Manheim auctions at Rotherham used to have Land Rover wednesdays, first wednesday of the month, all LR hire and lease cars came through.

Went a few times, but everything made top dollar, only ever saw one defender go over the block, and that went for an arm and a leg!

Its now closed down.
