Clunking sound
Anyone have a clunking sound when turning with mild acceleration? When I turn left in a street intersection, I get a clunking sound like if the transfer case is engaging and disengaging.[/i]

l believe this may be the rear differential. I've read it somewhere else on the forum, you need to change the oil in it.

I've had a similar issue, when reversing onto my drive, I get what feels like old school transmission wind up. One wheel spins fast and then it's good to go again 110 D250 SE HT

Yes mine did this. The double flush oil change, plus a ‘software update’ was mentioned, and this has fixed the issue. I was very sceptical initially as the noise sounded very mechanical to me but the noise has gone. It nearly always happened turning into my drive, which involves an uphill turn to the left and while I think I may have heard the odd very slight thump immediately after the work was done now there is no noise on entering my drive or anywhere else.

I got the impression that the car felt very slightly different, perhaps a little ‘taughter’ when cornering, as if there might be more reaction from the e-diff, but it was so slight that I may have imagined it!
