RDX Earth Fix - Am I missing something?
300tdi Defender, just converted the indicators to LED and had the common issue of both sides flashing. I removed the dash warning bulb and away we went.

I bought the RDX earth fix (essentially an LED warning lamp with its own earth connection). The first one I managed to break, the thing is so fragile and just would not fit in the bulb holder - long story short I snapped the connection ridge things.

Cut forward to the second one, I just fitted it, after a lot of struggling I managed to get it fitted. But it just wont work? It does absolutely nothing, I have tried several different earth points.

I have sort of just given up at this point. Fitting the RDX bulb has caused the trailer warning to flash when the indicators are on (no its not fitted in the wrong slot!). So at the moment that will do for me, not ideal but at least its some indication (ha?!).

In true landrover fashion there are absolutely no instructions what so ever. But I believe I am doing it right from what I have read on other posts?

It should have a little adjustable rotary knob on it, if this is a relay I presume we’re taking about that. Turn it so that the trailer light goes out with the engine running, then when a load on the trailer is present it will be on and without it will be off.

Faults on both indicator circuits is usually due to poor common grounding, especially the main ground.
Check, clean, tighten. Especially if it’s been disconnected recently such as a clutch change.
Such a common ground fault can make the entire lighting system and dash light up like a Christmas tree as it’s common to all circuits. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
