My 1984 2.25 petrol 90 sailed through what will hopefully be its last MOT yesterday but missed on emissions so need to take it back for a retest.
Any obvious suggestions? Apparently it wasn’t too far off; CO was the culprit I’ve put a bottle of Redex petrol emissions improver in the tank and was going to take it on a long-ish run before the retest to make sure that it’s fully up to temperature etc. Any other obvious things to check? Any value putting a new air filter in as well? Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Thanks - interesting suggestion - it was pretty gross so have ordered another one!
Air filter off, nicely up to temperature after a long run and system cleaner run through; it does seem to be running a bit nicer so we will see what that yields tomorrow! Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
