Defender drag racing on CarWow

Electric converted, vs LS engine, vs new Defender v8 Cool

£225k for the Arkonik converted LS... Shocked
£100k for the Electric Classic Cars conversion.

All well beyond my budget Smile A surprisingly close race though, I'm quite interested in the electric one I have to admit. 2005 Td5 90 XS

As a hardtop, I reckon the electric would have won easily.

There's a YouTube channel called Rich Rebuilds; aside from the more outlandish stuff he does, there was a series on converting a BMW Mini to electric on the cheap.

I reckon you could convert a defender to electric, not for cheap, but for significantly less than £100k. 2011 CSW XS 90

Absolutely you could. The issue is range. Electric Classic Cars in Wales have one with a ~200kWh battery pack that gets around 200 miles. For reference, a Tesla Model X is ~95kWh and ~300 miles.

Where is the Dodge Cummins Engine, Chevy Allison Transmission, and Ford Powerstroke rear end conversion fed with Cooking Oil?
