Ineos Grenadier

Hello

So, a nice Ineos Grenadier passed me on the motorway the other day. I noticed it had the green stripe on the left hand side of the number plate. I always thought that was for electric vehicles. It does appear to be a £l petrol engine on the Governments Vehicle Tax site (FP23 HTG) but wondered why it had the green stripe on the reg?

Its not a test mule for Ineos is it Rolling with laughter

The green stripe is for BEV only not even PHEV. It can be for a BEV with REX though. Our old BMW i3 Rex with a 1l petrol could have had a green stripe. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

Thanks

Everyday is a school day. My eyes were instantly drawn to the green stripe rather than the car Rolling with laughter

Can you have the green stripe for hydrogen? Ineos have said they've been testing a hydrogen powertrain, could be prototype. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Yes hydrogen can have a green flash on the plate as it has zero tailpipe emissions from the traction engine. Wondering they are planning a REX with it. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

If you offset your CO2 with one of the offsetting companies, they give you a green stripe to stick on! I know as I had one when I offset my old 90, never had the balls to stick it on though!
