I don't know how to refer to links but if you look at page 2 of the tdci section there's a thread entitled "noisekiller engine blanket highly recommended" and I have a picture of it there. As the title suggests I highly recommend it ....

I don't have a Puma, but I have just this evening fitted the largest one to a Td5 and even that wasn't as big as I thought it would be.
I'd take their advice though. |

what you can't see in the pic is the big flap that goes down the back of the engine so its bigger than it looks.
Also since taking that pic I have 're moulded' it a bit so that I have full access to the dipstick without having to bend it upwards - not that it was a problem as it doesn't seem to burn any oil! |

Could any body tell me how to insert the noise reduction foil through the metal casing under the puma bonnet. And also the approx. thickness of the foil+sponge if available? Cheers! Regards, Diluk |
