*Sigh* there's always one clever sod Smile Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Unless you do stupid things on full lock I doubt that there'll be any problems. Most folk, if on full lock, are neither going fast nor loading the transmission much - manoeuvering round a car park for example. The loading and stress on the CV will be much greater when you're struggling for traction with the wheels spinning, then subbedly biting etc.

I would also expect that the absolute limit of travel on the swivels, i.e., the point where the swivel housing seal hits the mounting flange on the inner part, will occur before the angle where the CVs start to fail.

In short, drive sensibly and all will be OK.

Anyway it's only an issue if you put standard tyres on spacers; if you have larger tyres chancs are the steering lock is the same as for standard tyres without spacers.

However not quite 100%

One thing to bear in mind with spacers, especially thin ones, is that the hub/wheel interface may not be as strong as before, and this is probably the area of most concern (and the reason why spacers are not allowed in motorsport). .

Spacers are not banned in all forms of MSA / FIA sanctioned motosport,
Certainly if the car has been homologated with them , they are OK to use, even thin (2-20mm) ones California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

Hi DAZ, can I ask you something?
you are using Zu wheels and spacers with 238 tyres at the same time, then how much the tyres jut out from the wheel arch?

Thanks Live, Love, Pray

Hello,

Thread was about flush with wheel arch, and side of tyre stuck out approx 25-30mm.

This is the best photo I could find:
