Hiya,
Had a brilliant day out yesterday doing a handful of lanes with Gaz (Td5 90) and Howard in his Jimmny (they're impressive little vehicles..!!). Only photos are from the lunch stop on Parkamoor. ππ Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I love my Defender.. π 2002 Land Rover 110 Td5 Utility 1990 Suzuki GSXR 1100L 1980 Yamaha RD 350LC 1976 Yamaha RD 400C |

It was all very last minute but highly enjoyable (maybe not the last lane which was very tight, rocky and I was quite relieved when it was over...).
Do you want a shout next time we go out..?? 2002 Land Rover 110 Td5 Utility 1990 Suzuki GSXR 1100L 1980 Yamaha RD 350LC 1976 Yamaha RD 400C |

Thanks Clayton..ππ
I sometimes find that the disenchantment starts to build when I only use my Landy as a 'car' - commuting to w*rk, supermarket etc. It's easy to look around the car park at all the very nice cars\vans and wonder why you put up with the crap that Defender owners put up with. A few green lanes later and you know 'why'...... π 2002 Land Rover 110 Td5 Utility 1990 Suzuki GSXR 1100L 1980 Yamaha RD 350LC 1976 Yamaha RD 400C |

Lovely location!
I quite like having a literal white elephant whenever I go to the supermarket People tend not to park near me. The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/@YetitheDefender Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/yetithedefender/ |

Cheers Ian - lovely indeed..ππ
Strategic parking at the supermarket is a must. Backing into a bay makes it easier to drive out but you run the risk of somebody parking behind you and you can't open your back door to chuck the shopping in. Driving into the bay and its a leap of faith when backing out...ππ Why is it that some people think it's ok to do 30mph in a bloody carpark...?? 2002 Land Rover 110 Td5 Utility 1990 Suzuki GSXR 1100L 1980 Yamaha RD 350LC 1976 Yamaha RD 400C |

I was backing out when someone locked up the brakes and slid into me. It bent the bracket on my mudflap so the flap touched the tyre Oh, and it made a helluva mess of the front of his Nova A quick pic of positions and tyremarks persuaded him not to trouble with exchanging details. |
