Having exact same problem; new tank etc., ordered and will be fitted by LR assist on Tuesday.. hope it fixes the fault! Current

Coolant tank all replaced and security update all done on the driveway by LR assistance… hope this solves the problem 🙏🏻 Current

Dealer replaced the sensor on mine 2 weeks and 800 miles ago. Not seen the light since. 2001 110 TD5 (sold)

France 2002 Defender 110 Td5 DCPU Chawton White
I had this issue on a V8 D4 and changing the sensor on the tank did not make a difference because the problem was with the float inside the tank sinking which the sensor uses to read the level. On a D4/D3 the tanks are available aftermarket, but first I had to waste some money on the sensors...

Obviously it could be a different system, but often the low tech stays the same.

Thanks… what I meant was if it’s under warranty a whole new reservoir and sensor would be better as it maybe the sensor moving in the bottle…

I had a look at old one and sensor could easily move around on old one and was fixed solid on new one🤷🏻‍♂️ Current
