Might be a combination of lower and stronger tyre side walls and normally higher pressure instead of volume of air. Sometimes a visual check is not good enough because they don’t look flat until they are..
I check the wife’s Velar tyres very two weeks and they do lose between 1 and 2 PSI (20 inch wheel). I pump them up on the drive so the pressures aren’t on the drive to look for a working compressor at a petrol station. Also from where the car is positioned the sun can give a false reading if one side of the Velar has warmed up quicker than the other. The same when very cold. 8 PSI does seem strange. Just keep a weekly check on it, or daily using the dash board pressure reading. Otherwise it means taking the wheel off and spraying it with soapy water including the tyre valve. Which was the problem a friend had recently, I swapped the valve core over for them and no problem since. |

Fortunately l've got five spare wheels with tyres because l couldn't resist the bargain prices for these steel wheels when people upgrade. The ones l bought have done 14 miles! Paid £600 for five back in March but you can get them even cheaper now. |
