Despite my ability to do so, I'm thinking of getting my cranking split charge, solar and lithium leisure battery system professionally fitted. It Gauls me, but I think a bit of paper showing it professionally is now a bullet dodged!

I'm redoing my insurance at the moment and discussing adding in all the things I'm thinking of do. Confused Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Speak to your insurance first. They may not have an issue with it, how many camper conversions have split charge and leisure batteries.

There might be an issue if you want to fit a lithium leisure battery though!

Accessories v modification

I once had a discovery written off, accident whilst parked, lots of interesting discussions with the underwriters on the best claim ever, total loss 100% not my fault

They said, that sellers say a range of things but there is a difference between accessories, things you can get from the dealer they manufacture makes and modification, things you change away from the manufacture design. He went on to explain and how it works in payouts etc

Bottom line, if it’s in the accessory book, you haven’t modified it. If it isn’t then you might have Mike
