All European spec 2.2 Defenders were built to Euro5 standards.
Euro5 commercial vehicles could be registered upto September 2016. Landrover did not want to re engineer for Euro6, so that's why production stopped in early 2016. [b]ULEZ exempt cars The Euro 6 standard was introduced in September 2015 for cars and September 2016 for vans. Use the table below to check the emissions standard for your business vehicle. https://www.lombard.co.uk/support/ulez/ulez-exempt-vehicles.html |

ULEZ isn't about CO2 emissions, it's about particulates and NOx which isn't part of the MOT so isn't listed on documents and why there's just a blanket tax on Euro 5 and before vehicles. The best I can offer is to look up Julie's ULEZ Map on Facebook which shows all the camera locations and if they're working and try to plot a course around them. It's more difficult in some areas than others so you might get lucky.

If you can get a grant, you can make your 2015 Defender ULEZ compliant - includes introduction of the Adblue system. A few companies are doing it for circa £5k I think

In simple terms it appears to need the extra AdBlue to be Euro6 rather than just the DPF

This now seems to be 6750+VAT! Anyone aware of other, more reasonably priced options? Or upcoming competition to drive it down?

OT, but what if you hide your licence plate...?
You should have it with you (battered) in case of a control and tell them you look for tools to remount it... |
