Puma central locking fault
Recently the operation of my central locking (2013 110 XS) has developed a fault where on locking/unlocking the actutors operate continuously for 3-5 cycles. All locks operate but the cycling is a little strange. Any ideas? Fingers now crossed 🤞

Not got any real experience of fault you are describing but I'd try and check the remote with one of those detectors that you can get to make sure it's not continually transmitting when pressed...
But More likely a poor connection that is not recognising the lock and unlock status...
Long process but maybe go round checking the connectors on the doors
If nothing else it gives your thread a bump👍😁

Me too Smile The only lock state sensor is a switch in the driver's door. So you could unplug the driver door's wiring and see if the fault is gone. Rotten/seized door locking mechanics isn't uncommon https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic86667...ar+wiring.

Sounds like the mechanism is 'bouncing'.

Try sitting inside and apply little finger pressure on the locking button when you set the locks, if it works then you can hopefully just adjust the locking rods inside the door.

(easier to do than explain...!)

Thanks for the replies so far. I'll take a look at the weekend and report back 👍
