2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Keswick Green

HELP!! Fuel Cap Broken

Today at my local station, the fuel cap basically came off in pieces when i opened it and what looks like part of the locking mechanism was still in the hole. In a panic i put the screw part back on without the lock barrel and now its screwed closed and its just spinning round. So i need to rip it off to replace it.. Is there any help on doing this at all?? I cant find anything on youTube amazingly on how to replace the fuel cap for a Defender TDCI. Can anyone suggest the best course of action... can they be taken off and replaced relatively easily?

2006 Defender 110 Td5 USW Zermatt Silver

When mine did this I used a couple of screws through the cap joining all the parts together, so it just then unscrewed.
