It's better than I'd expect from a 16yo working at night in the dark during a storm. I've seen many "professionals" whose cuts under favourable conditions are worse.

I'd be really surprised if the 16yo was really on the saw.

Sad though it is, we must remember that the reason there was only one tree there is that humans felled the rest. GB was once covered in forests but not now.
BTW Don't plant the seeds that were collected because I'm sycamore trees!
