Yes if there is play in the UJ of your propshaft then it could produce a vibration at certain speeds.
The first step is to take the propshaft off (9/16" spanners are best) and check the PJs for play. It is also worth checking that the balancing weight has not fallen off. If it is not the propshafts then check for play in the flange bearings. Also your wheel bearings. When were your wheels last balanced? Could one wheel of lost a weight? Do you have a suspension lift on the Defender? |

A small amount of play in the front propshaft output flange is normal, because it is on a roller ball bearing.
Steering wobble is not caused by propshaft issues, they cause vibrations or squeaks, or both. |
