the clamp meter that I pictured above isn't to bad..its capable of measuring changes down to 100ma ie 0.1 of am amp.

so if .12 amps is what it settles at when things shut down you just need to identify fuses that feed the different circuits and see if you get a decent drop in that current as you pull the fuse..I think you would be looking for a drain of say 50ma (0.05 amps) |

thanks Andy ive pulled the radio fuse and we dropped down to 0.07! It does have an extra immobiliser fitted not sure if that would cause any extra drain?

Yep and I think i know what I’ve done, have fitted a Nakatanenga dab aerial I took power from the radio got a feeling I may have wired it to the red wire so it’s got constant power! Is 0.007 okay it does go up to 0.008 then the immobiliser beeps

i have a 14 year old red optima and i can leave it 5-6 weeks and it'll crack up no problem
i do leave the car unlocked though so no drains |
