High voltage engine light warning
Hi all,

Has anyone had experience with the engine light popping up after charging and having high voltage as the error message? Brand new car and had two technicians out at home (neither had a clue about the issue) and the car has now been in the garage for 3 weeks (with zero update or explanation as to the issue) and I only had had the car in my possession a few days. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Very similar experience here… EML appeared, car recovered but now waiting diagnostic work. Suggestions that it’s an issue with high voltage water ingress. Time to get a definitive answer open ended currently.

Brand new car, owned for 3 weeks.

Interested like yourself to see if any similar issues and how they were rectified.

That is the exact same fault as I have on mine. They have a technician working on the car now, but still no closer as to what the issue is or how to resolve it. They shut down the car and are now just running tests and sending the results back to HQ to be told what to try next. It has been with them for over a month now and still nothing confirmed...

Doesn’t bode well unfortunately- my fear is that parts will be needed, again with an open ended timeframe. Ready to explore all options including exercising right to reject the car!

The issue has been escalated to the engineering team and awaiting updates. Have said once it is looked at in more detail I'll make a call from that, including possibly rejecting the car.

Some closure on this- got the car back midweek, informed actually an issue with the DC-DC converter. BDC module reprogrammed, test drives done to check ok and no further issues.

This only started immediately after I used a charger in a carpark ?coincidental.

Fingers crossed no further issues!!

That is good to hear, the warning light always popped up just after charging on mine as well. Then would randomly disappear. Passed on this information regarding the fix to the garage, as mine is still in the shop...
