Rear Windows Activation 110 Hard Top
Has anyone managed to get the rear windows to open via the front switches?

So far I have rewired doors with new loom and enabled in the CCF, windows work on new switch in the rear and also work off the key fob for global opening and closing. I have put a new 4 switch in front door but it doesn't work the rear windows! Sad

LR do 'funny things' with 5dr commercial vehicle to stop owners converting them.

I remember the Disco 2 commercial having studs welded into rear seatbelt mounting holes.

In answer to your question, have you looked at wiring harness not being plugged into main body harness, beyond the B pillar.

I hadn't changed MultiCAN-634 MovingWindows
Four Moving Windows

Now the rear switches seem illuminated but the rear buttons in front drivers panel are not. I have a new genuine 4 switch panel coming soon so will wait and try that.

I cant believe how many settings there are in the CCF!

I wouldn't worry about them, they aren't all for the Defender, they cover all the newer Land Rovers and there are even some Jag one in there Laughing Cheers Ian

So looking at the internet, if I use the parts as mentioned earlier in this thread these are the costs I found

1. New wiring loom Drivers side rear door LR171801
2. New wiring loom Passenger side rear door LR171817 ( I think that's the right way round!)
3. 2 X new switches LR059773
4. 2 X new switch facias LR064090
5. New door Moulding round small window LR149591
6. New door Moulding round small window LR149592
7. New front door window switch with mirrors and memory seats LR130144

Costs

1. £221
2. £209
3. £11 each. so £22
4. £30 each so £60
5. £61
6. £61
7. £55

For a grand total of. £689 and then the cost of the IID tool

Which makes it an expensive upgrade to just get 2 windows to open. 110 D250 SE HT
110 USW SOLD
RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it
VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys

Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD

Mine came in a bit less but its about that. If you just want the rear windows to open from front of car you could get away with just the 2 looms and a new front switch (I got a disco sport one for £15 from fleabay) as well as activation.

Could you add the the part no. or a photo of the switches you bought? Do the button to disable rear windows work? Also does the child lock button work?

Thanks

Hi I will take a picture of part number next time I have it apart.

You can buy a new one which is this one:

https://britcar.com/product.php/656309/5497/cover___door_switch

and yes the rear child lock for the windows does work.

I might being stupid here. Presume you didn’t try to activate the windows for global setting before changing all the looms? Someone mentioned to me the looms are already in there for it all to work, just no switches. I’m happy to be corrected though.

My one def did not have any spare connectors or wires in there. The old loom I took out has a different part number to the loom I fitted. It wouldn't surprise me if they occasionally use what they have on the shelf at the time so is def worth looking as you may get lucky! Thumbs Up

Fair enough. Do you have any photos?

Was there anything plugged to the window motor though in rear?
