I haven't been able to source the rubber bullet socket, but I do have some compatible alternatives with a clear boot.

If the terminal inside is OK you could carefully cut the perished rubber away and replace with a few layers of heatshrink for protection/reinforcement.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

I wouldn’t rush to do anything else as I doubt it is needed, just wrong sensor giving the wrong reading.
