PMK100130 - Valve-waste gate-control turbocharger
Hi,
I'm not sure if the valve waste gate control relay is required with the TD5 Defenders. In my Manuals I cant find it located either honestly. how do we connect this one to the vacuum lines? does it make any differences if we do not use this valve?
I'm asking, because my original engine did not have this valve but my spare unit came with it ... is this otherwise something Discovery specific?Td5 110 Station

I think it’s something only fitted to Discovery’s.

As above. The waste gate control solenoid was only fitted to the Disco 2. The Defender TD5 has a traditional waste gate piped directly from the actuator to the turbo.
I have pondered on fitting the solenoid into a Defender to see what difference it makes. Curiosity. I see in Nanocom that the solenoid is listed as a switch, so... Who knows, something for a wet weekend
