Give Steve at foundry 4x4 a call, he's a decent guy and I'm sure he will be able to help you out.

I take it that you have the vertical links (with the ball-joints) on the correct sides of the vehicle? They are handed, the eyes at the top of the links are offset to move the link away from the spring.

Could be that you have the spacers on the wrong side.... If you fit with the offset to move the ARB to the back it would give more room... There's quite a few pictures on here of the X-Deflex fitted on the forum

Yes, got the cranked ends on the right sides to move them away from the spring. Would be much worse if not.
Will search for threads with pictures. Thank you! 2011 130 Utility Body 2005 110 Van |

I suspect then that it is largely due to Land-Rover's legendary tolerances. Custom spacers to move the ARB further back in the mounts may be the best answer.
When I fitted my X-Deflex I was surprised how small the clearances were but fortunately it doesn't seem to be fouling anything. |

As with Blackwolf. Mine were pretty close to the 110 spring seat. IIRC I had to trim the HD spring retainer a tad to get them to clear, but it did not foul on the spring seat.
Good idea on the offset ARB mounts |

Spoke to Foundry but didn’t get far with that, having sent them pictures they recommended releasing both ends off the splines and moving them round until the combination of the adjusted length of the knuckle and the position of the end bars gave clearance. They didn’t seem to get that you could achieve that by putting the freewheel hub in released mode, and taking out the big bolt!
Anyway I’ve moved everything about, shortened the knuckle bars as much as possible and on full downward droop of the suspension there is a tiny clearance to the spring. I’m going to run it like this and see how it goes. In the future we will make some custom spacers to move the ARB back about 30mm. I think I am victim of the chassis manufacturers ambiguous tolerances as Blackwolf suggested. Having driven it with the ARB doing its job it is excellent, the only problem now is that the front bar is not stiff enough and when cornering hard it’s scrub understeering. That was really pressing on though, just driving normally the stiffer rear end makes for more confident cornering. My biggest dislike is the retaining collar that is secured by a little M6 bolt. The way this designed means the collar is much smaller than the internal of the hub assembly to allow for the bolt. It’s great value for money and despite my problems I’d still recommend it. Thanks again for your kind help and advice. 2011 130 Utility Body 2005 110 Van |

Yes, the collar does appear an afterthought, and looks as though it was found in a Christmas cracker! I was surprised at the naff-ness of it bearing in mind how good everything else was.
I came across these (pic below) the other day, which look interesting, the biggest plus being that there is a front one which again uses a FWH to be disconnectible. I think the price converts to about £1,800 plus shipping, import duties, VAT etc., which would pretty well rule out a normal person ever buying one, but if anyone on here has had any experience of this kit it would be great to hear some feedback. There seem to be some pretty good products available in Australia now. Click image to enlarge |

They look really interesting. I wonder if they would sell just a front one.
They say there are 3 selectable stiffnesses for the front, I’d like to know how that is achieved. But I guess you are right, with shipping, duty and VAT, they are out of reach of us mere mortals. I might fire them a mail anyway. 2011 130 Utility Body 2005 110 Van |

I've sent a mail.
I might see if there's a group buy option subject to their response. 2011 130 Utility Body 2005 110 Van |
