They were really great.
They were staying in the hotel on the Friday night where the reception was being held the next day. I overheard them asking if it was possible for a late check out, the hotel said no as the wedding had exclusive use so they had to be out by 11am, no exceptions. I overheard this exchange and relayed it to my daughter and my wife. My daughter immediately jumped up and dashed off. 10 minutes later she returned looking a bit pleased with herself. I asked her what she’d done? “Nothing really” she replies, “but I’ve spoken to reception and Brian and Anita, I said that if they would have some photos taken with me in morning in my wedding dress and Brian would sign my wedding shoes then I would agree to them having a late check out” !! A chip off the old block… Anyway, Bri told her just to knock when she was ready, they were really great, did loads of photos and chatted for ages, in the end it was us that said we’d better get on as we’d got a wedding to go to! “a committee is a group of people who individually can do nothing, but as a group decide nothing can be done.” |

Congratulations - sounds like a lovely day and such a lovely story.
The gentleman concerned has a great reputation for being approachable and generous. I’ve met him in a work capacity some time ago and he was lovely. Likes a Kit Kat with his cup of tea. |
