Updating a pair of older 110 axles to 300tdi era?
What I have -

Salisbury drum rear
Disco 300 rear

20L front
Disco 300 front

What I want -

Two axels the same spec as my factory 110 300 station wagon (vented discs)

Id like to normalize the builds rather than "adapt". I'm not bothered by what is stamped on the casing, but I'd like the internals to be the same parts as the factory station wagon.

My understanding of the rear is simple enough - casing and diff are the same, everything else needs to change. The hub from the 300 disco could be used, but nothing else.

The front I'm way more confused by. I suspect, as it's disc already, most people just use them as is, but if i were (am) wanting to normalize the parts between the builds, can someone give me a brief overview?

Obviously all the part numbers are on the jaguar landrover site and I could get my spreadsheet out and get to the bottom of it eventually by myself, but my suspicion is that someone here will just "know" and be able to furnish me with the answer with ease (both their ease, and mine!)

Thank you!

Bit confused on what you are trying to achieve. Disco rear axle is weaker than a Salisbury, it would be a down grade.

If the axles aren't broke, why bother messing with them?

I want to build two 300tdi spec 110 axles from what I have.

I have two axels under my 300tdi 110. I want another pair built from the same parts.

Again, I'm aware that, to achieve this on the rear, I can keep the casing and diff, and the rest needs to be replaced (I could use the hubs from the disco axel, but none of the other parts are the same)

But I do not know about the front one. Obviously as-is, the shafts, CV joints etc are all different, but I'm unsure if the disco ones can be used. I'm unsure if the diff needs to be changed. Etc.

So, I know what to do with the rear. Maybe forget I mentioned that. It's the front that I'm unsure about.
