Stock Wrangler “AT Adventure”
Why do they do it? Why do JLR take a perfectly good AT tyre and make it cheaper for our cars? A few pennies more profit? Certainly not for its customers benefit.

The standard tyre from Goodyear rates very well in all the reviews as a tough summer rated AT tyre that’s a great balance between on and off road performance. The ones supplied on our cars from the factory have had the two Kevlar belts removed, thus removing much of their strength. I’m on my second puncture now and had enough, so all 5 being changed to something that better suits the capability of the vehicle.

And while I’m having a Monday morning rant shouldn’t they really be giving us an all season M&S and 3PMSF rated AT tyre. A huge safety benefit to its customers in the winter and benefit to all those customers who go to the mountains in the winter.

Sorry, rant over. A second puncture in as many weeks made me rather cross.

Annoying isn’t it!

Think we get tyres made of cheese because they ride a little better and probably save a bit of fuel. They do handle brilliantly on road though!

I swapped mine out for BFG KO2s after taking a chunk out of a tyre on something that really shouldn’t have…

The KO2s are a bit overkill but I wanted durability… am interested to see if the KO3s are slightly better behaved on-road once they finally come out! Cheers, David

The more I hear about LR (and read this Forum), the more I'm glad the UK dealer couldn't even be bothered to get back to me to take my hundred grand!!!!
