wing wiring loom help
Hi
I just found 1 plug on each of the wing (left and right side) looms that are not connected. (seems on purpose, they seem just prewired) and I was wondering what they are for.
I have identified on my 2002 TD5 LHD:
left side
    horn
    alarm
    washer pump
    direction lights (side and front)
    the position lights
    the main lights
    lights hight regulator

the disconnected one has a black wire and a black with green line (connector is a standard 2 pin connector)

on the right hand side
    direktion lights (side and front)
    the position lights
    the main lights
    lights hight regulator

the disconnected one has a black wire and a purple with black line (connector is a standard 2 pin connector)

any idea what the not connected ones could be?

On a TD5 (which unlike the TDCi always had full wing harnesses) I'd expect there to be the headlamp adjuster connector unused on both sides and either the BBUS connector or the alarm sounder connector, whichever you don't have fitted, on the nearside.

hi
then it doesn't sum up.
(oh didn't count the dbus, that one was clear for me, but the dbus is there on the left wing harness in addition to the not connected one.

The head light adjuster/levelers were connected.

Nearside may have a connector for a rear washer pump as well. I missed the levellers in your list, sorry. Both sides should have a horn.

Purple/Black and Black in a 2-way MQS connector, in each of the wing harnesses, is for the LH and RH horns.

Black/Light Green and Black in a 2-way Econoseal connector, is for the rear washer pump. Paul.

A more interesting question is why is one horn missing , it would have been built with two. On my DC the rear screen wash harness plus (upgraded) pump now runs the headlamp washers.

You had two horns?? Shocked Miffy (2002-2003) only has the one fitted... Hit the button and it gives you a kindly "excuse me sir" sort of sound... "don't mind me"... Rolling with laughter

like the devel Smile 2 horns
I just realised there is another connector on the right wing loom that is unused too, it is a little closer to the blulkhead side
wonder what that is.

That looks like the (Econoseal) connector for the dim-dip resistor.

The wire colours will confirm. Paul.

Likewise, my boggo base-model 02' DCPU had only one factory fit horn.

Strangely mine did have the additional horn ('alarm sounder') fitted from factory despite the alarm not being enabled! 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

Could it be the EGR solenoid connector?

No it’s the dip dim resistor that attaches to the inner wing.
