New defender insurance query
As some of you will be aware, RRS insurance is getting eye wateringly expensive and at times is almost impossible to get dependent on area.

My query is, is the same happening to the new defender or is it just normal inflationary rises - just in case I need to jump ship. 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

I renewed my insurance for my new Defender just over 2 months ago and it was just under £400 which is not far off what I paid last year. Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

It is happening to the new Defender as well, although it depends on the insurance company. Some are now flatly refusing to insure any newer Land Rover models, and some don't want to touch Range Rovers, regardless of location. I thought this was mostly a London problem, but not anymore. I was refused renewal by my current insurer because they no longer want to deal with Land Rovers at all. After making the rounds of a number of companies, I will end up paying double premium compared to last year. It is borderline what I am willing to spend, but I'll bite the bullet, it is a great car after all.
