Have you tried getting an off cut of Xpel Stealth Self repairing in clear gloss finish? Available from good vehicle wrapping companies.
I don’t have my rear bumper done with it but both my previous 2020 110 and my present D250 90 have both been wrapped with the clear gloss Xpel on the bonnet, front grille and valance and both sides up to the window line and it’s been unblemished despite having drive through thorn bushes.

2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
