If he's managed 80ish in a series I suspect he's gone for a stiff drink, and any form of conversation wouldnt have been possible with the ringing still in their ears 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Modded if is quite possible. On a non public road I GPS clocked my S3 88 with a 200Tdi at 92mph.

I had my Series 2a up to 70mph once, decided it was best not to recreate the event. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

My 86", which has a 2286cc petrol engine, overdrive, and 7.50 tyres, can exceed 70mph without too much trouble. It is not a relaxing experience and not something I would recommend!

That looks like one of the MOD Police Land Rovers they had in Aberporth. The exact same colour scheme, I remember seeing them as a child, great memories watching them passing my great Auntie’s house on a regular basis.

Is it me or the spare wheel on the bonnet looks really... weird? “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

Not sure what’s going on with the spare wheel.

The spare looks like it's got a hard style cover for a much bigger wheel on it 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Ditto, my S1 109 with 2.3 5MB, SU Carb and ACR head will pull 70 (ear muffs on) quite easily but as above I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s very happy at 55/60 with the power to overtake if necessary. |
